- If you had trouble downloading from the MEGA links in the last couple days, it's likely due to my bandwidth limit exceeding the Pro I account limit, I've upgraded to Pro II now, so it should be enough, as it increases the bandwidth limit from 2 to 8 TB.
- Saving when there's no dialogue on screen can cause the save not to work when loading from it.
- When keeping the suit, if you do a perfect run (green flash, no QTE) on the first minigame, it will play the wrong dialogue.
- if you skip part 2, it will send you to the main menu. For now, if you wish to skip part 2, use the scenario skip available when starting a new game (you will be able to answer questions regarding any choices that might have effects in the future)

This version adds the final part of chapter 1. Well there might be optional additions later, but for the main events at least.
Additionally, it is now possible to translate the game by yourself, without the need to go through me. Check the tutorial in the games folder to see how. Personally I recommend using open office for translating.

- Fixed some missing portraits during a certain portion with Nina! Or at least a chance that they weren't showing up.
- Fixed some typos in dialogue
- Fixed glitchy portraits on the victory end
- These fixes are only for PC, at least for now, since they're not very game breaking, so rebuilding it for all the other platforms would be a bit too much just for these. Even if that Nina portrait thing does add quite a lot more to that particular scene, in my opinion! (These will be on the recordings)
0.232a changes (PC version updated, others were built directly into this, so the changes should be there already):
- Text transparency should now properly fade the hearts and the speaker name as well
- If you had problems loading text on PC before, this should fix any such issues
- Fixed one instance where Nina was saying Elena's line, and Elena was saying Nina's line
- Fixed portrait hide button not working during the CGs of part 1 and part 3.
- Added some gurgle sounds to one part during the teasing portions of the second day event
Sorry for the constant delays. I probably shouldn't give out release estimates, since I can never seem to get them right!

If the videos don't run for you in the game, let me know. I used a similar method as previously, when at least a couple people mentioned they couldn't run then. Although that might have been on android. It's all a bit fuzzy.
Note that if you want to put your custom translations into the Android version, you will need to modify the apk file. This can be a bit annoying to do, so it's best to do finished translations on the PC, and only then transfer it to the android version, assuming you know how to do it. "APK Easy tool" for windows is relatively painless from what I tested just now. Alternatively, you can also send the finished translation to me, and I'll get to it eventually.

ReplyDeleteI actually managed to fix it, and it's uploading now! It wasn't just about the translation thing either, as it would have been more work to keep two separate systems up down the line. I knew it was possible to do, and was so close to solving for so long, that I couldn't just give up.

ReplyDeleteThe inclusion of some multi-size stuff was interesting, as well as other tinies to see alongside the player. It made up for the lack of 3rd person angles for me, since I can't grasp the whole depth perception and player body movements in POV stuff.
That beginning of Elena sucking up the micro-tiny on the terrarium was unexpectedly awesome! I only wish the player was on the receiving end of that instead...

A thing to consider for the next time: could you please upload the game to google drive or mediafire instead of mega? Because mega has a limit and if the game file becomes too big it will cause some issues to us the players making the download time longer
ReplyDeleteThe limit should not be a problem, since I'm sharing my bandwidth on it to people downloading my files. Google drive would be perfect otherwise, but their links get disabled pretty fast due to bandwidth overuse, if many people download the file. Mediafire would be fine, but they delete adult content eventually, so I'd have to refresh links all the time, and I'd get my account banned eventually. Mega is the best option, unfortunately.

ReplyDelete1) a giantess organizes some kind of arena and the tiny has to fight against another tiny (with the new minigame introduced maybe I mean the same system) if the tiny wins the fight the giantess "rewards" the winner with some teasing maybe oral or vaginal etc or something like that and if tiny loses he gets eaten by the giantess(game over), plus if you win the fight you see the other tiny getting eaten (like nina perhaps)
2) and my second idea would be that the tiny gets stuck in some kind of stick(that the giantess put it intentionally) and use the tiny as a lollipop and you have to survive in both outcomes 1) not getting eaten and 2) don't getting drowned on her saliva(because well, lollipops have to get sucked, that would look interesting from a pov perspective) anyways, these are just ideas I wanted to share have a good rest :D

My only problem was I prefer just the arrow gameplay and not much of a fan of the new effort selections. Also there was a lot of time with just text I felt ruined the flow a bit. I do wish I could just skip it at times as if I participated in an old video. Other than that, definetly worth the wait. Just need to wait for video recordings now :3
ReplyDeleteIncredible stuff in this new part of chapter 1, top quality scenes if I do say so myself, I only came across one problem when playing through it on my android device, it seems that for some reason when I complete the minigame inside Elena's pussy and it shifts to the looping scene of her wiggling her butt in front of the character, the game sort of freezes, the scene continues to loop but no text pops up whatsoever, I did manage to bypass it by saving inside that loop and just reload the save, but everytime I try to play proper without using savestates it just gets stuck in that one point. Apart from that I have nothing bad to say about the game, Im enjoying the new characters a lot and I hope to see how the new "affection" sort of system works in future chapters (maybe we'll one day get to see Anya and Clara again). Anyways thanks again and get some rest, you deserve it.

ReplyDeleteI'm trying to run your latest version on a Pixel C tablet (Android 8.1.0) but it just doesn't work for me.
The app freezes up constantly and/or force closes sometimes in between video, and sometimes just during dialogue.
Also it seems this new version is getting the tablet crazy hot, not sure whether it's due to a process looping somewhere it shouldn't or whether it's due to increased resources usage in the latest version.
I never used to have these types of issues with the previous version.
I can provide more details if required.

Unfortunately, I'm really not well versed enough with android to be of any help. All I can say is that the new part runs just as well and just as warm as the previous parts did on the Moto G5s plus that I use for testing. Have you tried the previous version recently, to see if it too acts the same way? I haven't really added any new loops with this part either, so I doubt it's that at least, the only loops I've added are those that make sure the text files get loaded before the scenes start, but if those loops weren't breaking, then the scenes wouldn't load at all.

ReplyDeleteIt's going to take so long to finish Diminishment, that I really can't even begin to imagine an end yet. I'm looking at 5 years minimum, assuming I can increase the pace with extra people along the way. At the current pace? It'll probably take something like 8-10 years just for the main path.

DeleteYes, waiting for the full game would be a very long wait. I have at least 8 chapters in the plans, probably more, depending how I arrange some events. Of course, since it takes so long, I might cut it at an earlier point as tech advances, and switch engines to a different kind of format entirely. The switch from Chapter 3 to 4 has a possible point to end the game for example, and switch to a sequel, if I need to. But that's all just plans at this stage, and still completely open to change.

DeleteI'm not sure what the videos being pre-rendered has anything to do with possible branching paths. There will be some. But obviously I can't branch out too much, or I'll never get the game done. There's one branching point in this chapter, depending on whether you gave the suit to Nina or didn't, and then play the event to the end. But it'll depend on patrons if it gets worked on at all before the main branch is finished.

I want to translate the game into Spanish, my language, which has some characters that do not exist in English (¿, ¡, á, é, í, ó, ú, etc ...). When I translate the text (now I do it with Excel, I will try to get Open Office) those characters do not appear well in the game, since they are replaced by a black heading with a "?" in the center, or directly make the whole text not appear. Hey! Glad yo hear you're trying out the the translating. As for the letters, make sure you're saving it in Unicode UTF-8. At least in open office, if you don't specify it separately it default to your system default. I just tested the letters using utf-8 and they appear fine!

ReplyDeleteIt will affect some future dialogue & scenes with that particular character in some ways. It might unlock a bad ending for example, or open a good ending in a optional event that would otherwise end in a bad end etc. But that's for future stuff.

It is hard to answer. But I guess experience and patience? I've been animating for roughly 10 years now, as a professional. A bit longer if you count hobby stuff/school. Although most of that wasn't 3D, but tweened 2D animations instead.
DeleteI'm not really comfortable with sharing the models. If others were using them as well, it would take away from the "unique" look I have in my videos right now. I also really don't want to deal with troubleshooting them, as they're far from user friendly rigs since they're something I put together back in 2012. Well I've obviously kept updating them, but I need to do a lot of "hacky" stuff to make them look decent at many parts of the videos.
Surely there's already a lot of high quality vanilla content being created every day? Granted, a lot of the 3D animations are either game or Daz characters, but still.
Personally I find it a bit unfortunate that more people don't create their own models/characters, and just default to the same characters everyone else is using. But it's understandable due to the amount of work creating a good model & rig from scratch involves.
For vanilla, you can also just go with live action porn as well, the options for niche stuff like I'm creating are very limited on the other hand. There's only a few 3D animators that create animations that could be called good quality "size" content. And the live action options are understandably limited, as doing it well requires a lot more varied skill set than what doing normal live action porn does in comparison.
There will be more futa in the future, not sure when yet though!

DeleteNo, the saves aren't stored in the games directory, so deleting the game folder won't delete the saves. Save file can be found here: C:\Users\yourwindowsuser\AppData\LocalLow\Eskoz\Diminishment\saved_games22X.gd
DeleteThe saved_games.gd has saves for versions before 0.220 as that's when save compatibility broke.

ReplyDeleteFor some reason I can't play part 3. Whether I go from the start up menu or by completing chapter 2 it kicks me back to the main menu saying that that's as far as I can go. Did I donwload the wrong file? I downloaded the Mega version.
ReplyDeleteDo you have the option to pick part 3 in the starting menu? The version should be 0.232b or 0.232a depending on platform. If playing on android, you can try to uninstall the previous version first to see if that helps.
DeleteThere was a bug that if you start from ch1 pt2 and skip the chapter, it will throw you into the main menu, I can't remember if it's fixed in 232b yet or not, but you should be able to just select ch1 part3 when starting a new game if you have the correct version. If you have the correct version, the video playing in the main menu should also be a loop with a blond girl.

DeleteIf you're on a Windows PC, check the troubleshooting readme, to see if any of the fixes there work. Other than that, there's not much I can help with. I think you're the first one to report a problem with the sounds. You could try fiddling with the sound sliders in the options menu to see if that helps. Or you can check your volume mixer in windows, to make sure you haven't muted the game by accident.
I did what you told me but unfortunately it did not change anything may be a problem with the extraction of .zip? (Sorry for the not perfect translation, an other question ? in future update we will have other languages? Thanks for advance ;)

DeleteTranslations are done by fans at this time, so only if someone ends up doing it. I might hire someone to do it when the game is done for some languages though, but that's a long time away.
DeleteAs for sounds, you can try re-downloading and re-extracting the zip, but I doubt it will change anything.
Do your sounds work fine with everything else? Especially other games made with unity? There's really nothing here that should work any differently. I guess you could update your audio drivers/codecs, to make sure your computer supports AAC, but Windows should really handle that stuff pretty much automatically, assuming you're letting it update itself. And as usual, restarting your computer is always a good thing to try.
Other than that, I'm out of ideas.
I guess you could also try plugging your headphones/speakers to a different jack/plug if nothing else works.
DeleteOne other thing that comes to mind, is that if you've recently updated your GPU drivers, it might have reverted your sound device to Nvidia HDMI, so check your sound settings, to make sure that you have the correct audio device selected.

DeleteOne last thing I can suggest is, make sure you don't have the game muted inside the game. There's a mute toggle in the dialogue box (the music note). Try clicking it on/off to see if that does anything. And again make sure that the volume sliders are actually on in the options menu.
DeleteYou can also try resetting the options to default by deleting the registry entry for the game in regedit found here: "Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eskoz\Diminishment"
If none of these or the above suggestions work, I can't help you.

DeleteYou can check this thread to see if there's anything that might help you. But you did say you didn't have problems with other unity games. But if you have an Asus motherboard, it's worth checking out some of the solutions, at least the one with disabling the audio enhancements.

DeleteLook for any possible updates to your motherboard's sound drivers, or try turning off the audio software in your task manager completely to see if that helps. There's posts in that thread that claim similar issues with other audio enhancers as well.

DeleteMost similar issues that I've found by googling have been due to conflicting audio software, and have been solved by uninstalling said software.

ReplyDeleteIt shouldn't require anything special, but make sure windows has been updated to the latest version (1909), and that you have your GPU drivers properly installed, try putting the game on an SSD if it already isn't, and rebooting is something you should always try as well, before spending time troubleshooting anything too much, etc. Other than that, check the troubleshooting txt that came with the game. It has various minor stuff that you can try.
