- Animating (Roughly 14 minutes done, Ending 1 Done. Usually roughly 1 minute of new footage added around once a month or so.
- Audio work (Doing it in segments, after each playblast this time, due to voiced dialogue, audio version usually released a week or two after a playblast)
- Release estimate: I won't give one until I'm confident I can release it at least within a month. Still months to go.

This consists of the footage from the first two playblasts (mainly intro stuff), so the latest one is still behind the paywall.
I don't usually like releasing WIP content publicly, but since the final release is going to be months away, I figured this would be a good compromise, instead of spending time doing separate preview renders of characters and what not, that don't help move the project forward in anyway. Of course I'll post those as well, once I get to the test render phase. But that's still quite a while away. I just feel that with my main visibility platform gone (Pornhub), I should try to have more regular posts on twitter/my blog, to compensate.

DeleteMio takes her clothes off during the latest playblast, so there's interaction. I didn't want to waste time doing placeholder animations with placeholder clothes, so I did them earlier.
DeleteThe master's clothes disintegrate from the spellbreak when she shrinks, so there's no interaction, thus no reason to bother with them, until the final stages of the project.

DeleteBut I'll have to see how big of a task it would be, once everything else is done. Since this is going to be the longest video I've done, if you don't count the footage inside the game (Chapter 2 Pt1 has more total footage compared to what this will likely have.)
chapter 2 pt1 did have a killer ending... that naughty ending was my fav... sad that i have to wait a good 4 hears or so before i see what happens next ( that is just my guess bc there amazing game takes alot of work and you also got times were something might have to be re done or times you might get sick)

ReplyDeletePlayblast 5 is coming roughly around the end of the Month and should be hitting around the 5 minute mark. I'm currently doing about 1 minute of animation per month, although I'll likely be trying to increase that a bit after summer, as much as I can, without burning out. Anyway, the final/public release is not coming out any time soon.

I hope that if you do, you go for more stylized and realistic designs we have seen like in the DC Animated Movie Universe for example

I do not want to offend you, but your almost zero activity here for months has led me to think that you are procrastinating or lazy, on Patreon it says that you have already exceeded the goal for this to become your main work, and despite that you have not increased the pace of updates. I hope it's not to be able to earn more money on Patreon without doing anything, I also have a Patreon and earn money, but I update every week and I work very hard to keep my patrons and my followers on different social networks happy and informed. I repeat, this comment does not want to offend you, I do not want to offend you, I just want to know what happens with respect to all this, and if the answer helps other fans to be calmer, the better.

DeleteThat said, What are you talking about? I updated the status in this post roughly a week ago, a bit after Playblast 5 came out. There's not really much to tell, other than "an additional minute of animation footage has been completed", which the status gives you. What more could I tell you, while the project is under construction, than tell you what stage it's at? I guess I could put a marker next to the status, so it shows when it was last updated or something, which happens monthly. I just increased the font size, and moved it to the bottom of the post, so it's hopefully easier to notice.
If you're looking for freebies, I posted a snippet from Playblast 5 on twitter on the 8th day of the month.
I do reply to almost all comments that I feel I can give a meaningful answers to, whether it be on discord, here, on twitter, or on substar/patreon, and so on. Even the latest reply here is just 5 days old.
I tend to not reply to content suggestions, as most I can say to them is "possibly". I do still read them though. I check my e-mail for comments multiple times a day, although all platforms don't get redirected there, so those I check manually as often as I remember, but it's usually at least once a day for each of them. And if you peek inside patreon, you can clearly see that things are being posted, even if you can't see inside the posts. Is that not activity to you?
As you should be able to read from the status post:
My current pace is about 1 minute of animation per month + the audio for that.
Playblast 5 was released on the 5th. The audio version of that was released 2 days ago. Usually the new playblast is posted at the end of the month, or at the beginning of the upcoming one, and the audio version follows within a couple weeks, after I've gotten the dialogue voices from the voice actor.
Currently the next playblast is estimated for the 5th of September.
I do my best to keep patrons informed of the upcoming schedule, and then they can decide based on that, whether they want to stay pledged, or wait a bit. I'm not hiding the schedule from anyone, and there's yet to be any notable deviations from it.
If the current pace is not enough for you, then simply don't subscribe, and wait until the project is finished. Steady progress is being made, and it will come out when it is finished.
Thank you for answering, as I told you I did not want to offend you, it just made me very strange that before you upload much more content in less time than now, that supposedly you work exclusively is this. I suppose the process is more complex now than before, but one minute per month? That seems very little to me, at this rate you will finish the Diminishment game in 15 years.
DeleteThere's a bit of a misunderstanding there. I've worked exclusively on my patreon since I started. I was in between projects, which was the perfect opportunity to try patreon out. It worked out, and it's been the only thing I've been doing for a living since then. If I didn't reach the goals in a reasonable time, then I would have needed to start accepting side projects as well, and then it obviously would have cut into the release schedule much more.
DeleteI also don't think I really released that much more content in the past. It might have felt that way, due to the clips being considerably shorter. Longer videos obviously take longer to make.
Delicious Threesome (2:20 in length) took me 2 months for example, as a comparison. About one week of that was stuff other than animation. I'd say that's roughly comparable to the current pace, considering the more complex scenario, voice acting, better animation quality, and what not.
Not to say I can't work faster, and on occasion I do just that, but that's only really doable with the shorter animations, or in bursts when I'm near to finishing a longer one.
Basically, I'm just trying to pace myself, in hopes of avoiding burn out, so I can keep doing this in the future as well.

Remember that this thing makes people go crazy when they are in the presence of the little ones but it also makes the tinies enjoy the experience. DeleteWell although there are things that remained unclear. The first is that after yelling at Clara through her communicator, Nina grew back, but the most curious thing is that she would not let her shrink again. Why? And that Clara had set the time for an hour. However, she permanently shrunk you. Already the doctor at the shelter said that this situation had happened before and that they had been able to save the explorers involved. But that didn't save them from having er ... awkward situations. Now the fundamental issue is what Nina has planned for us before we get to the shelter. We are in her vagina, wrapped or not depends on what we choose but that is Eskoz's issue. And also what will happen when we arrive, remember that Elena was tracking the shelter and that more less had to the location of her. For now she says that she will create the scene that is released if we choose to stay with Lucy instead of letting Anya catch us. He says it's a party (which Lucy wanted to attend from the beginning of the game) that they bring a lot of little ones and have a "fun" night. A new character Jane, Lucy's "friend", who we heard about in chapter 1 pt1, also appears at that party.

ReplyDeleteI won't give estimates, until I know for certain that I only have a few weeks of work left. Even estimating the progress % is just my best guess, as I don't even know how long the full animation will end up being, not to mention how much work the render prep will end up being.

I don't know what you use or how you do it but the definition, the colors and the details in the construction of your characters and their environments always catch my attention. That's not counting the effects of the succubus' glowing eyesight. Wow amazing, really great job.

There will be no estimates/guesses until I'm confident I can release it within a few weeks. I can say, there's still months to go, as I've been animating at roughly a 1 minute per month pace and there's roughly anywhere between 2-5 minutes left to animate + all the other things that I still have to do after animations are done. It's the longest non-game animation I've done, and I'd also say more ambitious than any of my previous works, so it does take time. Next progress playblast is estimated for around Mid January.

DeleteIll be honest, quality is sometimes better than quantity, but this production time not only stresses you for what ive seen, it also just doesnt keep people interested in your work, its been more than a year since you started this animation, imagine how much it will take until another part of Diminishment is released.
ReplyDeleteOh, it definitely stresses me quite a bit, and I personally much prefer working on shorter animations. But I'm obviously not going to quit on this one, after pouring so much into it.
DeleteAs for loss of interest, the last poll I did on this subject specifically said, that subscribers would rather have less frequent longer animations, compared to short ones, and this was a very clear poll, not even a contest. Total subscriber numbers on the platforms are ,at least for now, slowly growing, rather than dropping. I do post monthly previews/playblasts to patrons/subscribers.
That said, I probably won't be doing projects quite as long as this again, at least not in the near future.
I appreciate the response and i apologize for not researching about the poll or/and if i sounded mean in any way, i just wanted to share my opinion and its great you are an educated person that responds clearly.
