There's no new content here, for those who have played the RPG maker version. But it runs a lot better for most people at least. Some text has been changed a bit, and other minor polishing in addition to changing the game's format into a visual novel with quick time events.
Some improvements compared to the RPG Maker version:
- Should run better
- Should be more stable
- You can save during the videos (looping parts only)
- Some extra audio during the internal scenes
- Works with android!
Let me know if you bump into any bugs or crashes. I haven't tested the 32 bit version extensively, but I expect the 720p res videos to work fine with it.

Once you're done translating, I'll add it to the game as soon as I have time, or in the next version if a release is near! This does not apply anymore. There will be some changes once chapter 1 is done, so the translations are a separate file that can just be replaced/edited by the user. Assuming I can get it working properly.

To modify them, use either excel or open office. Make sure everything is in its own cells:
- Keys (stuff like Intro_1 or IntroStreet_18 etc.)
- Dialogue text (one cell is one text window, you mustn't add additional cells, as then the new text will not match the Key that was called in the game, which determines what text is shown)
- Write in the language on the top row, above the dialogue cells
It's best to keep me informed if you start translating, in case someone already is doing it. Although there's no harm in having multiple translations from a single language.
You could technically also make your own rewrite of the English script if you want, and I could include it in the game as an alternative "language".

Am I doing something wrong in trying to download the android version? I try to get it, and downloads through the Mega app. Then it starts and stays at zero, never actually downloading. Help?

ReplyDeleteYes, for the most part at least, but I'll likely keep improving it along the way. I'm working on the first event of chapter 1 at the moment. I'll do a public release once I have both of the two events for chapter 1 part 1 done.

DeleteThe menu music is: called "Lobby Time".
The music in the beginning of the intro is "Crinoline Dreams".
The music playing once you reach the girls' apartment is "Covert Affair".
The slightly eerie music when you're shrinking or when you get into a sequence that leads to a bad end is called "Static Motion".
These are all from incompetech.com.
The fast paced music playing during the event when you do the mini games and stuff is from a unity asset store music pack called "Mega Music Pack", and the track is called "Never Back Down".
I think that's all that I've used in the game at the moment.
Hey Eskoz, been following your PH work for a bit. This is my first time downloading a game from somewhere other than a gaming service. So I have a really stupid question. How do I launch the game?
ReplyDeleteWhat platform? PC or android? For PC just download the file, unzip it, and run the exe.
DeleteFor android, download the apk to your phone, and run it with a file manager or something similar to install it, then run it from your apps. You might need to set the phone to trust apps outside of the play store though.
I'm on PC and have clicked on the .exe file a couple of times. The issue is nothing happens. Do I need a specific app or something?
DeleteNo, you shouldn't need anything special to run it. What Windows do you have? Anything from Vista and forward should be fine. Windows xp probably won't work.
DeleteYou can also make sure your antivirus is not blocking it for some reason, although I doubt that's the case since then the exe would probably have been quarantined.
Are you not even getting the starting menu, where you can select the resolution and stuff, after double clicking the exe file?
I figured it out. Apparently Norton automatically deleted the exe file. Managed to recover. Sorry.

ReplyDeleteYou got an amazing game right here, for sure one of, if not the best, vore games I've played. Just wanted to report an issue or a bug I've run into while playing the game:
In the third part, when the giantesses play their "game", if you get sucked out of Clara to the point where you're outside of her and halfway into Anya, and you go back and forth between that point and one step into Clara, the game freezes on the third time you go outside.
If that didn't make too much sense, I'll try to explain it in steps:
1. Fail twice to get sucked all the way out of Clara, but don't get swallowed.
2. Succeed with the struggling so that you dive back into Clara.
3. Fail again to get sucked back out.
4. Succeed to once more get back into Clara.
5. Fail a third time.
6. The game now freezes as Anya is trying to suck you in. In fact, for me, it freezes as you're looking at Anya's mouth, with you being halfway in, every time.
This happens on both Android and PC for me.
Anyway, amazing job man! Super thrilled to see something like this from you (been following you since your old Miku animation), and really excited to see where this project goes! I'll admit I'm also super impatient for updates, but who wouldn't be? Take your time, and thanks for this gem.
Hey, thanks for the report! This one was actually reported by someone earlier, it's fixed, but I didn't make a separate release out of it, since it's not that big of an issue, with it only happening after doing it multiple times. It also should fix some other possible freezes that might happen after multiple repetitions though.

DeleteGot a different question for you. I am considering trying to translate this to Swedish. In fact, I've already started. Haven't decided yet to go all the way, but still. My question is this (since I feel the image you packed in with instructions aren't really clear about it):
Should I translate the "[s:him]" parts? In Swedish, "him" and "her" would be "han/honom" and "hon/henne" respectively. It says to "replace with the gender of your choice", but not if it should be translated or not. Since I don't know how it's coded and put together, I don't really know the answer to this, since while I understand that it obviously won't magically say "henne", but at the same time I'm assuming these "[s:]" things are strings and variables of some kind, and if so changing them to "henne" will just break shit, no?
Sorry if this is a dumb question, and if it's even wasted if I don't actually go fully through with it. It is quite intimidating after all, even more so with the knowledge that there will be updates to translate later on as well lol. Either way I figured I'd give it a shot while I have nothing better to do anyway. I'm bloody in love with this game, and passionate about my vore, so like... why not :P

Hey, thanks for considering translating it :) The [s:him] parts should be translated directly into your language. It's hard to automate this to all languages, so it's best to just do it directly, and replace the strings for the gender specific stuff (not the [s:player_name], leave that as it is). So instead of translating "Help [s:him]!" as "Hjälp [s:honom]!", do it as "Hjälp honom!". Then if you want to do both genders, copy paste the translation into a separate cells, and use the other pronouns there.
DeleteThe correct gender will then need to be chosen by the player from the translation list, but it's not that big of an inconvenience.

I downloaded the game and clicked on the .exe file however I am hit with a message saying that "UnityPlayer.dlll was not found and that reinstalling it may fix the problem".
Is there some player I need to download first? or am I just clicking the wrong file?
No, you shouldn't need to download anything extra. What operating system are you using? Is the unityplayer.dll in the same folder with the .exe file? If not, your antivirus could have destroyed it for some reason, or something might have gone wrong when unzipping the file.
DeleteYou should have 2 files in the same folder in addition to the Diminishment.exe, UnityPlayer.dll and UnityCrashHandler32.exe, (run diminishment.exe obviously). All the other files should be somewhere in the two folders

Well the only ideas I have for you are (in no particular order):
Delete-try running the game by right clicking Diminishment.exe and select "Run as Administrator". It really shouldn't require this though.
-try redownloading the zip file, and extracting it again
-try running it from a different hard drive and folder, maybe your folder has letters in it that aren't recognized or something,
-try disabling your antivirus before unzipping and running the game
-Update your graphics drivers
-Restart your PC
If it still isn't working, check the folder's size, it should be 581MB

I think it would be awesome if the victim were tied to a strap on then the girls use it like the victim weren't there. Not sure which would be better, face up or down... Just a thought. Just wanted to let you know that I'm eager to translate Diminishment (Prologue and even later chapters if it's possible) to Polish! Just one question - I hope it won't be very big of a problem if I'll send you translated version (when it's ready) and you'll let me know if there's anything off in the translation placement, will it? I just really want to make this translation and I will do my best to make your awesome game available to some Poles (which don't understand English, unfortunately) and generally will be more accessible!

Sorry, I was going to reply to this earlier, but then I entirely forgot, as I've been very busy for the past couple weeks, with part 2's release.
DeleteI'll be doing some changes to the way translations work after chapter 1 is done, so it might be best to hold off until then. Especially since some of the text is likely to change before the entire chapter is done!
In the future, I'd like the translations to work in a way, that the translator can just replace a file in the game folder, but I'll still have to look into that!
I am also sorry, those deleted comments could've make a bit of a mess.
ReplyDeleteOh, I see, but still - I can always try and translate the plain prologue just like it is now, just to see how my let's say 'translation skills' are placed. Though I've met a small problem in OpenOffice right now as huge chunks of the text got separated into neighbouring cells.

DeleteI would recommend waiting until chapter 1 is done, as there will be some changes to the translation system in the future. But if you want, you can of course translate the prologue in advance, but until I have the new system in place, I won't be adding it to the game separately.
Some one else is also doing Spanish, although I haven't heard of him/her for a long time, so they might have abandoned it.

ReplyDeleteAssuming you're on a compatible android version (at least 6.0), make sure you have the setting enabled that allows unknown apps to be installed. This is by far the most detailed and down right amazingly professional tuff I have ever seen. A friend of mine just watched it and was like "Wish he could have been swallowed by her vajayjay" but lol just amazing work. Keep it up man and I'll donate when I get paid again.

Btw, i have a doubt here, I play the game on Android i downloaded the prologue, chap 1 and chap 2... but the thing is, on prologue apk, there's no chap 1 and 2, and on chap 1, there is no prologue and chap 2.. same for the chap 2 version.. can i add these 3 apps somehow to make it one. And just so you know, i can't access the Android>Data section. Idk why, but the access is denied in my phone.
ReplyDeleteAndroid version needed to be divided into multiple parts, due to apk size limits. Basically you need to run the install of the part you want to play at the moment. Saves should work across the different installs though.
DeleteI think if you want to access those data sections, you need to turn on developer mode on your phone. Which might not be a good idea, if you don't know what you're doing.
You can have all of the parts installed at the same time though, but you will need to switch to another package, when you reach a new part.
DeleteWhat I don't remember though, is if I made clear save points between the chapters or not. If you can't figure out a good time to save, it's best to just use the new game functions chapter select instead, when moving to a new chapter. Although, it's definitely not optimal right now. Think I'll need to make a custom save prompt pop up for future versions, when the player reaches a dividing point.
