After roughly a year working on it, it's finally done!

Linux only has a free release version. If you can only run the Linux version, there is no difference with the paywalled version.
Neither Mac or Linux are officially supported. Make sure to test the Free Mac version, before subscribing on either patreon or substar, as it's highly likely that it won't work! There is of course the re-cut video versions of the game events, but those are of course not the exact same experience as the full game.
Mac(and likely linux) users: Make sure to turn on "Use built in text" in the options menu. This means you can't use custom translations and what not though! Make sure to restart the game after enabling this option. Unless the text shows up normally for you with the option disabled of course, then it's better to leave it that way!

NOTE: that each APK (Android) package only has the corresponding parts. If you try to load a part that's not included in the installation package, the game will get stuck in a loading screen. This does mean you need to start through a new game, when going to chapter 2

0302d (Android only update):
- Added option to skip to the apartment scene in Chapter2 Part1
- Skipping the intro parts might help users who experienced crashes after the school section of the event ends on the regular version
0302c:
- Fixed various issues when loading from a save, mainly portraits & audio related
- Accidentally divided the free android version into 3, similar to the payed version, so there's now separate install for prologue, chapter 1 and chapter 2. I'll keep it this way, since this is the way the paid version is divided as well.
- This does mean that any previous chapter 1 saves you've made on the free version won't be visible, unless you copy the save file to the "com.DiminishmentCh1" folder. See the readme in MEGA if want to do this.
- Added different icons for each installation on android, so it's easier to see what you're launching.
0302b:
- Fixed save issues with android
0302a:
- Fixed fade out in middle of sequence, when not helping Nina
- Fixed some audio missing from Lucy
- Fixed some audio loops not stopping when supposed to
- Added opengl version for android, for those that have trouble with vulkan, try this, if your device is slow with the other one
Known issues:
- There seems to be some issues with the save system on android currently
- Loading from saves made within Chapter 2 Part 1 in version 0300e or older, causes all bad endings to freeze the game. Saving and reloading won't fix this issue. Sorry for the inconvenience!
- NOTE: Since it only affects the bad endings, your saves made at the end of the various branching paths/main paths should work fine in the future, for continuing on to the next part.
- There might be one or two ambient sounds missing at some points. If you think you've found one let me know. Examples of these would be stuff like missing stomach sounds during stomach scenes, no muffled moaning loops heard during internals, and so on.
- If you press buttons while the game is loading it'll throw you a "not responding" dialogue, just ignore it, and it'll go away once the game has finished loading. This happens after player setup, and between parts. As well as between the school & apartment transition.
- Old saves made during the apartment section are unlikely to work.
Changes v0302:
- Added portraits for Chapter 2
- Added dialogue grunts to intro/outro, and some key places in the CG events
- Fixed some minor bugs
- Some minor improvements to videos here and there
- Leveled audio, so it doesn't break as much at certain points
- Added a button to the menu, that unstucks a loop. Use this in case you have issues. These should not happen, and learning about where a freeze occurs is always useful for me. But with this, you don't need to reload at least. (can use F5 as well)
- The latest scene is now in two parts, so there's some loading time between the school and apartment transition (so wait at least a minute, before assuming it crashed)
- Other minor tweaks that I can't remember right now

DeleteThe Mac version does not work to my knowledge. The only reason I haven't taken it down is since someone during launch said they got it working, but I didn't hear from them after that. Several people have tried since then, and none of them has gotten it running. I did add a disclaimer to the download, that it's likely not to work.

DeleteI don't have exact requirements. Most PCs with Windows 10 or newer will run it. Most relatively modern Android devices also, with the exception of some phones that have no 32 bit support at all. For example google pixel phones won't run it. No iOS support, and Mac & Linux support is not "official", and I can't provide any troubleshooting/support for them. They are provided as is.

DeleteHey I had the same problem and after scavenging on the internet for a solution I finally found one.
DeleteYou need to
launch Terminal [Applications/Utilities], then type or copy/paste
chmod +x [including a space after the x]
then drag the app you need to change the perms straight onto the Terminal window, which will fill in the correct path
hit Backspace once, as the last task will add an unnecessary space
Then you need to add the sub-path to the actual executable inside the app, so copy this & paste it onto the end of your current Terminal line /Contents/MacOS/*
Hit Enter
This will change the permissions to executable.
An example of the 'finished' Terminal command, using TextEdit as the example
chmod +x /Applications/TextEdit.app/Contents/MacOS/*
Note:
Terminal never tells you "Success" or "Done" etc. If you see it add a new line saying
yourMac:~ yourname$ then it's finished.
If there's an error it will report that.
If you get an error saying you do not have permission to do this, then start over, but use
sudo chmod +x for the first step.
This is, in effect, "Administrator Override" mode.
You will be asked to provide your Mac password when you hit Enter [which will not show at all as you type it] then hit Enter again.

ReplyDeleteMake sure you downloaded the correct apk. I needed to make them into separate games, due to apk file size limits. Basically if it's over 2GB it won't install properly.

ReplyDeleteIt's not. It's a bug I introduced at last moment it seems, when doing my final tests. It's fixed now, but it'll take a while for me to reupload. As a workaround, the videos should reappear if you save and reload. Since if I remember right, save data does not record faded out status.

Well i can tell you the problem. I have downloaded chapter 2 and the game works fine without any problems but as soon as i try saving the game it freezes and i just get stuck with that untill i press the menu button then everything turns back to normal. Tho it dosent save the file. When i starded downloading the game the save button worked fine but then it stopped working. When i tried deleting the saved file nothing happend. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall it but nothing changed just the same problem.

Other than what I suggested already, the only thing that comes to mind that you could try, is making sure you have the latest version. (302a) The issue you're having sounds similar to what was happening in the first version I released (the install file of the wrongly built release was named "Diminishment0302_Chapter2_Free.apk")

DeleteI did find the save issue now. Didn't notice it since it only affected the chapter 2 installation. I'll do a rebuild as soon as possible.
To clarify the "to be continued" paths are branching points for future game parts, that will be voted on by patrons/subscribers. The game is far from finished. It's Ch2 Pt1 Final, not Diminishment Final, or even Chapter 2 Final.

ReplyDeleteCould be a corrupted download I suppose. Or whatever you're using to uncompress the file. I highly recommend getting 7 zip. It's free, and has never failed me.

DeleteI ended up needing to spend a huge part of the day troubleshooting and fixing bugs for the game today, so I haven't gotten as much work in as I'd like. But I'll release the first one before going to bed. Probably within a couple hours.
Then I'll do the other one tomorrow.Basically these two will contain almost all of the clips found within the game, with the exception of a couple victory path clips that aren't really interesting without context from dialogue. Basically it's not going to match the game's story 100%.

ReplyDeleteSince the release of 302a, the final sequence inside Clara's breast never works for me: it plays the wrong game, then always ends in Anya's vore bad end no matter what.
Might be an issue loading from a specific save. If it's old, as in originating prior to 302 it's very likely to have various issues. Does this happen with a fresh game as well to you? I wasn't able to reproduce this here at least, and the event seems to run normally.
DeleteAdditionally, depending on your choices, you can't be breast vored by clara. For example, if Nina is already inside her, you will always get pushed out at the end.
Happens in all loaded saves and fresh files, but you're right: it always works when I rescue Nina, and always glitches when I don't. Thanks!
DeleteThat is intended behaviour, not a glitch. Assuming you're talking about her getting dragged into Clara, and not the option where she gets swallowed.
DeleteBasically Nina being in her tits stimulates the milk flow so much, that in that minigame you're holding on to not get swept away into Anya's mouth, instead of a tug of war, if Nina is not inside there.

ReplyDeleteI believe all major bugs have been fixed by now. The only thing you might see at this point is some minor audio glitches, with a looping audio playing at the wrong time after loading a save, or something similar.

ReplyDeleteThere's a scene change there, so a loading screen. Try waiting a bit. If the game is actually crashing, as in shutting down on its own, try saving right before that portion, then loading that save, to see if you can get through then. Could be running out of memory or something.

Depending on who you ending romancing up or having the highest level of affection, whatever you wanna call it, that girl will become the giantess you can freely and fully explore in a free roam manner at the end of the story in and out.

ReplyDeleteIt's still very likely a space issue. Or that's been the case with that problem each time so far.
DeleteYou need much more than the package size for the installation process. To be on the safe side try to get around 10GB. Someone else had trouble with weirdly large space requirements, until they re-downloaded the apk directly on their phone, instead of through their pc.
Ever thought on adding in the future some sort of free mode? You select a giantess that you can explore outside and inside however you like?

DeleteWork intensive, and not something I'm personally very interested in. But I'm not entirely ruling out a scene, where you might need to find something on a giantess's body for example.
DeleteThis is one of those things, that isn't very hard to do if the game was real time, but when the scene is pre-rendered (as in videos), it would require quite a lot of clips and loops.
Noted, then I hope that future releases of the game gives more routes that includes more and more elements of the giantess tropes.
DeleteMaybe in the final chapter or chapters all them: Oral, Vore, Anal Unbirth etc; will may be used to have a little bit of everything and make the levels more challenging and dynamic.
It was clearly that you rised the bar withthe challenge and this suggestiong of the final chapters having almost everything included would boost the difficulty

ReplyDeleteYes, but it's not going to happen, due to being quite a lot of extra work, for something that there's not enough interest for (according to polls), and the increase in disk space requirements, to an already pretty large game. Even in its current form, Android version needed to be split into 3 pieces, just so people could install it.

This one burned me out quite a bit at the end, so I'll probably try to divide them into more manageable pieces in the future, if there are scenes as elaborate as this one.

ReplyDeleteIt is the full version. The re-cut just means that the gameplay and dialogue is not included, and that it's edited slightly, to fit the standalone video format better, for a better flow.

DeleteI liked it. A little too complex for my taste. The animation seems to have improved again though normal size on double micro doesn't really appeal to me. Micro on double micro is great though. The idea of someone who is trying to avoid being eaten succumbing to the temptation of becoming that which they are avoiding is appealing. I feel like the characters are becoming too cruel though. It felt like it was more of a getting carried away thing or an accident before, but now they seems actively sadistic and uncaring. Might be part of the plot, but I kinda liked the idea of them getting carried away more than just using them as disposable toys.

ReplyDeleteThere's a level load at that point, so it's possible your phone doesn't have enough memory left to load it.
DeleteDepends how it's crashing, if it outright exits, then there's not much you can do at this point, except try shutting down all other programs in the background, and hope that's enough. But I might build a version with a level select that skips the school section after my break, for those who are having this problem.
Tried it again, after losing consciousness, the game loads for ~30 sec then it kicks me to my phone home page. But the game is still running, when I go back to it, it loads to the main menu.

Deletesorry i have a problem. there is no dialogue or text in the game. everything is in order in the menu, but they are no longer in the game. I don't know what the reason is, please tell me.
ReplyDeleteIf enabling "built in text" does not fix the issue, it's possible the game is somehow trying to read a language track, other than english for some reason. First, check the options to see that your language is set to "English". If it is and it's still not working, reset the games settings to default by deleting the registry entry, the location is mentioned in the troubleshooting txt (Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Eskoz\Diminishment), just be careful not to delete anything else there, as doing the wrong thing there can mess up your windows.
DeleteOther possibility is that you've set the text transparency in the UI to invisible, so you can fiddle around with those to see if that helps. Or you can try resetting the settings to default, by deleting the registry entry.
I'll add a settings reset button, for the next version, after my break, so you don't need to go through the registry anymore.

DeleteThe only differences between the free and full version is resolution and the watermark in the corner.
Free has 540p videos, full has 1080p and doesn't have the substar address in the upper right corner.

Secondly, is there anything happening with the playthrough recordings of this chapter? I know you said that you weren't going to do any this time unless no one else had uploaded any but I've been looking these past few months and haven't found any so I wondered if anything had changed. ReplyDeleteAndroid version is divided into separate apps. So make sure you're running the correct chapter install. If you try to load a chapter that's not in the install, it won't load the chapter.
